Welcome to Wags Dog Training School! Our training school was founded to support the clients of Wags and Whiskers Pet Hotel as well as independent dog owners seeking professional guidance. Our purpose-built Training centre was designed and tailored to provide the perfect environment for effective training sessions, ensuring the best possible results for our clients and their dogs!

Having been a part of Wags and Whiskers since its inception, we quickly realized that many of our canine hotel guests could benefit from additional support in areas like behavioral adjustments and command training. To meet this need, we established a dedicated training facility where we help dog owners build a healthy, safe, and trusting relationship with their furry companions.

The Silver package is a (Pay as you go) facility and consists of a One-to-One Training programme includes: a 90 minute introductory, in depth, evaluation questionnaire where we can get to know the dog/s and their good side and identify their training requirements and how best to work with them. 

The Silver package offers this initial session, the Participants will be the Trainer, client, and dog so we will discuss, with you, to identify as well as prioritise the issues for training. The package also includes a further 1 hours training with the trainer and the dog, this one-to-one Hour training session at a time suitable to you.

The Gold package is a Paid in advance (Workshop Block Booking) facility and consists of a One-to-One Training programme which includes: a 90 minute introductory, in depth, evaluation questionnaire where we can get to know the dog/s and their good side and identify their training requirements and how best to work with them plus 6 further one-to-one training.

The Gold package offers this initial session, the Participants will be the Trainer, client, and dog so we will discuss, with you, to identify as well as prioritise the issues for training. The Gold package also includes a further 5 hours training with the trainer and the dog, the final hour, of this booking, is a one-to-one Hour training session which involves the client directly with the dog in a handover training session to cover the training done so far.

The Silver Package is a pay-as-you-go one-to-one dog training programme for owners who want professional support without committing to a fixed course. It starts with a 90-minute in-depth evaluation session where the trainer assesses your dog’s behaviour, identifies training needs, and determines the best approach. The 90-Minute evaluation is a compulsory assessment for all packages and necessary to ensure that training is safe, appropriate and effective.

How the Programme Works

As with all packages, training begins with a compulsory 90-minute evaluation to ensure the programme is safe, appropriate, and effective for your dog.

What’s Included in the Gold Package

  • 90-Minute Initial Evaluation Session – (Trainer, owner, and dog) to assess behaviour and prioritise training needs.
  • 6 × 60-Minute One-to-One Training Sessions – Focused on core obedience (sit, down, stay, recall, lead work) and behaviour modification (socialisation, anxiety, excessive barking, aggression, and related issues).
  • Final Handover Session – After 5 training hours, the 6th session is a handover session where you work directly with your dog to reinforce and apply the training techniques learned.

It combines structured one-to-one training with professional care at Wags & Whiskers Pet Hotel.

As with all packages, training begins with a compulsory 90-minute evaluation to ensure the programme is safe, appropriate, and effective for your dog.

  • 90-Minute Initial Evaluation Session – (Trainer, owner, and dog) to assess behaviour, temperament, and training priorities.
  • Ongoing One-to-One Training – Regular, trainer-led sessions delivered throughout your dog’s stay, tailored to their specific behavioural and training needs.
  • Residential Boarding at Wags & Whiskers Pet Hotel – Your dog stays in a structured, supervised environment that supports consistent training and behavioural stability.
